The TE 846 class focused on how students learn differently, and how there are certain factors that can influence the reading and writing ability of the child.
During the course, students were required to interact with a student, in a school setting, and determine the literacy abilities of that student.  This was done by using particular literacy assessments.  The graduate student was also expected to do a reading analyses, and at the end of the study, students had to write a fifteen to twenty page case study of the student.
